Circle.com allows anyone to buy bitcoins with credit cards

Circle.com is a bitcoin wallet site that allows you to buy bitcoins using a credit or debit card. Until today it was in an invite-only testing phase where only a select few could use it. Today it has opened up to the general public and people around the world can now go there and buy bitcoins using their Visa or Mastercard.

The site doesn’t charge any fees but it does pass on the credit card company’s charges. These are 2.9% per transaction. The big question is does it work in Pakistan? There is a list of countries being compiled on reddit by users. If you have an internet capable card please try it out and let us know.

Buying bitcoins has always been hard. Most traditional payment methods are reversible while bitcoin transactions are not. This means that selling bitcoins for these payment methods is very risky. So people have to jump through all sorts of hoops to buy them. But now this development makes it much easier to purchase bitcoins so it should help with adoption. The price volatility is still a problem though.
